write a developmental autobiography in which you trace your personality, social and emotional development from infancy ( if possible) to the present. you may relate your personal history to Erikson’s theory of psychosexual development focusing on those stages which you find the most appropriate. Most of us have very little memory of our earliest years other than through family stories. feel free to consult with family members who can perhaps fill in some of the blanks. using the above mentioned theoretical approaches i would like you to speculate, as much as possible, about why you are the way you are today. since you have not yet had to deal with Erikson’s last stages you may imagine (on paper) how you think you might handle the hurdles presented by these later psychological ” crises” that Erikson highlights.
