More than 80% of the population in Indonesia follows Islam. This makes the country become the largest in the majority of Muslim globally (Abels & International Institute for Asian studies, 2011). Furthermore, statistics indicate that there are twice as many Muslims residing in the country than the combination of the countries speaking in Arabic. Since the effect of tsunami in the country, this has led to significant changes in the sharia law employed as well as the canning practice.
